Grace El Chami joined the Gene C. Colman Family Law Centre in August 2024 as an Articling Student. Prior to joining our firm, Grace obtained her JD and LL.L. from the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law, and an HBA from the University of Toronto where she graduated with High Distinction.
While in law school, Grace developed a keen interest in family law and devoted much of her time and effort in gaining experience within the field. She worked as a Student Caseworker at the University of Ottawa’s Community Legal Clinic in the Family Law division, summered at a family law firm in Toronto and completed an internship which consisted in conducting research on the crossovers between family law and criminal law. During her legal studies, Grace also worked for the Ottawa Law Review as an Assistant Editor and as an Associate Editor.
Outside of her legal career, Grace enjoys dedicating her time to creative endeavors such as music, photography, film and fashion.
